The service
Bottle Vault is a personal collection-management tool for wine and spirits. It is intended for adults. You are responsible for the accuracy of collection records and for complying with laws applicable to alcoholic beverages.
Free access
The free plan currently supports unlimited manual bottle entry and 20 lifetime successful AI label scans. Manually adding, removing, or drinking a bottle does not change the lifetime AI scan allowance. Failed recognition attempts are not counted when Bottle Vault can verify the failure.
Premium subscriptions
Premium offers up to 100 AI label scans per monthly allowance period plus Premium collection tools. Premium Household permits one additional editor and up to 10 viewers. Collector Circle permits up to four additional editors and up to 25 viewers. Pending and daily invitation limits may apply to prevent abuse. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your App Store or Google Play account at least 24 hours before renewal. Your store account is charged according to the price displayed before purchase.
Expiration and cancellation
Canceling stops future renewal and Premium normally remains active through the paid period. When Premium expires, existing collection records remain available and manual bottle entry remains unlimited. Additional label recognition and Premium collection tools may be restricted until Premium is restored.
Shared vaults
A vault owner with an eligible subscription may invite another Bottle Vault account as a viewer or editor. Editors can read and change the entire vault, including bottle records, locations, layouts, preferences, and Insights. Viewers can receive the active vault or only storage locations selected by the owner, but cannot change it, use the owner's label scans, invite members, or export the collection. Private bottle notes, Insights, purchase details, consumed history, Wishlist content, and unrelated locations are not provided to location-limited viewers. Shared-vault label scans count against the owner's allowance. The owner remains responsible for choosing trusted members, assigning appropriate access, and removing access when it is no longer wanted.
External bottle searches
Bottle Vault may open a general web search for bottle information or retailers after the user confirms legal drinking age. Bottle Vault does not sell alcohol, select a seller, complete a transaction, or guarantee retailer legality, price, availability, authenticity, delivery, or shipping eligibility. You are responsible for complying with laws where you live.
Do not invite, access, copy, change, or disclose another person's information without authorization. An invitation does not transfer ownership of the vault. The owner may change a member's role or remove access at any time. Bottle Vault may restrict shared access used unlawfully, fraudulently, or abusively.
Label recognition, drinking windows, and estimates
AI-generated bottle details, vintages, regions, release information, estimated prices, and suggested drinking windows may be incomplete or incorrect. Drinking-window suggestions are automated, editable estimates based on available bottle information and general wine characteristics; they are not guarantees and may not reflect current producer guidance or a live commercial vintage chart. Storage, provenance, bottle variation, and personal taste can materially change when a bottle is best enjoyed or whether it remains in good condition. Review every result and use your own judgment.
Bottle Vault does not provide appraisals, investment advice, authenticity determinations, health or safety advice, or guarantees of market value, condition, quality, or suitability for consumption.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass usage limits, misuse label recognition, interfere with the service, access another person's account or vault without permission, or use Bottle Vault unlawfully. We may restrict abusive or fraudulent activity to protect customers and service availability.
Your content
You retain ownership of collection details and notes you enter. You give Bottle Vault permission to process that content only as needed to operate, secure, synchronize, support, and improve the service and, when you choose to share a vault, to make that content available to authorized vault members.
Availability
We work to keep Bottle Vault reliable, but uninterrupted service, permanent availability, and error-free recognition or estimates are not guaranteed. Keep independent records for collections where loss would cause significant harm.
Account deletion
You may delete your account from Settings. Deletion permanently removes the Bottle Vault account, the cloud vault owned by that account, and associated sharing records. Deleting an invited member account removes that member's accepted access to other shared vaults. Store subscription cancellation is managed separately through Apple or Google.
